ClearSphere

ClearSphere_IdentityThis was an intensive and rewarding freelance design project that allowed me to utilise my full range of skills and, of course, my creative capabilities.

The initial part of this rebranding exercise was produced in conjunction with Aspire Marketing. The brief being to create a new name and corporate identity for APCS and CBS Ltd – two sister companies that wanted to bring their laboratory cleanroom and contamination specialist services together under one banner. A collaborative brainstorm between myself and Aspire eventually conjured the name ‘ClearSphere’ and subsequently the strapline ‘Integrated Solutions for Controlled Environments’ to define the nature of their business.

Yesterday’s Specials

The-Specials-Logo-ArtworkSomeone asked me the other day “What was it like working in Coventry?”, naturally, my response was “generally shit”, but then I remembered… oh wow… I got to work with The Specials!

What’s the Alternative? Identity

Posted: 25-06-2009

WHATS-THE-ALTERNATIVE-MASTHEADJust had approval for this new identity/masthead for an online magazine I’m working on. My client was looking for a fresh look to an established brand. The brief being to make it crisp, modern and forward looking whilst retaining the essence of the original brand. Am pleased with the way this project is going so far… looking forward to getting stuck into the website now :))

Client West Cork Hotel
Year 2009

West-Cork-Hotel_IDI think this is the first attempt by the West Cork Hotel to create a proper corporate identity, they’ve never really “got it right” before and there’s always been a “that’ll do” approach when it comes to the way they’ve presented themselves to the world. Anyway, I was delighted to get the chance to create an identity with the right blend of richness and luxury with that warm West Cork welcome and sense of comfort.

So, my attempt is now complete and ready to roll. I have even gone to the length of producing corporate identity usage guidelines, am hoping that these can and will be adhered to, or will we continue to see advertising with a squashed logo and body copy in Times and Arial? :))
