Ballywire Media are digital content specialists, their unique and syndicated video news is delivered daily to Ireland’s leading web destinations. Having recently undergone a rebranding exercise, the company specifically sought a freelance graphic designer to “pick up the baton” and take the new look Ballywire forward.
Having successfully offered three different design concepts, my ‘grunge’ style was enthusiastically selected as “the way to go!”
With Ballywire being at the forefront of Ireland’s digital media provision service, their corporate style will develop and embrace the vibrancy of the social media community, continually evolving to stay ahead of the crowd.
As a designer, it’s great to have such an exciting and open creative brief. Love it :))

I was delighted to be commissioned by award-winning writer and historian, Turtle Bunbury, for his new “Your History in a Book” series. This series is, in his own words, “an innovative concept in family history and will make a fascinating and uplifting present for anyone interested in the past. Have you ever wondered what life was really like for your ancestors? How did your grandparents live? What was going on in their world? Imagine reaching for a book written exclusively about your family. A book filled with stories of your bloodline’s voyage through history, complete with family photographs and iconic images of world history.”
From a design perspective, it is also a pleasure to work on such finely focused and lovingly crafted works. Knowing that each book published in this series has the most limited of runs makes this a truly unique project and refreshingly different.

I needed to have a consistent style for them and they also needed to be in vector format so I could use them at any size… So, I decided to draw some up, and here they are for you to download – gratis.
The icons here are for RSS, Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, You Tube, Last FM, Linked In and Podcasts. If I ever draw up some more in the same style I’ll add those too ;))
