About a year ago I was asked to redesign the What’s the Alternative website and, as part of an ongoing plan to increase interest and income, Sabina wanted to sell a few items through the site. I initially sought a “plug-in” solution, as this is a WordPress-powered site, but it just wasn’t right. So, after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at getting a shopping cart system to work within the magazine structure, it was decided that a dedicated shop was required.
So, it was with great pleasure that I undertook this brand new challenge. Now I have to admit that it wasn’t all plain sailing, there were numerous gripes and glitches throughout the building/designing process. But, it has been an excellent experience and I’m glad to say that the shop not only works brilliantly, but looks rather nifty too. Now, if anyone reading this would like something similar, you know who to talk to…
